When Voltaire was a child he was moved to New Jersey with his family, though he did not have a happy time living there to begin with. At the age of ten, he was inspired by the film of “Ray Harryhousen” and he began animating clay stop motion on a super 8 camera. Then at 17 he moved to New York and finally got his first job as a animator with Parker brothers. During his music career he developed a style of music that was the combination of European folk as well as Goth scene, though others would argue that his music is to hard to classify, and some even call it Dark wave. The first band Voltaire played in was called “First Degree”.  At his young age he was a fan of “Duran Duran”, but then turned a little towards Goth music such as “Bauhaus” and “The Cure”. Though back then Voltaire was not even aware of the “Goth scene” at all, he was just a fan of what he loved to listen to, to him it wasn’t a style, it was his way of life. Plus growing up he was a huge fan of “Star Trek”. (“Voltaire(Musician)”).
Voltaire inspires people with his comedic and sometimes devious songs, for example his song called “the Dirtiest Song that ain’t.” Voltaire has accumulated 9 albums, which are called:  “Biterektual”, “Riding a Black Unicorn Down the side of an Erupting Volcano while drinking from a Chalice Filled with the Laughter of small Children”, “Hate lives in a small Town”, “spooky songs for creepy kids”, “To the bottom of the Sea”, “ooky Spooky”, “Then and Again”, “ BOO HOO”, “Almost Human” and “The Devil’s Bris.” Voltaire doesn’t just dabble in music he also produces toys based off the characters of his own Comics that he has drawn himself.
